executive at major banks and a consulting leader across international markets. His appointment signals the firm’s growing investment in the Turkish financial sector at a time of rapid digital and regulatory change.

Akyurt began his career at Capital One in the U.S. and later held senior executive roles at QNB Finansbank and Akbank, overseeing initiatives across retail banking, payments, strategy, and digital transformation. On the consulting side, he held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company and TTEC Digital before stepping into CEO positions at both a multinational financial services group and a digital tech firm serving Fortune 500 clients. Most recently, he advised a neobank on growth and international expansion—experience that aligns with Simon-Kucher’s focus on monetization and go-to-market strategies.

With financial institutions under pressure to modernize, Akyurt’s appointment strengthens Simon-Kucher’s presence in one of the region’s most dynamic fintech markets. “Simon-Kucher’s global expertise and local presence offer a unique platform to support the next wave of growth and innovation in Turkey’s financial sector,” Akyurt said. His background positions the firm to meet rising demand for pricing, product, and digital strategies tailored to Turkey’s evolving financial landscape.
