The pilot's Earth-IoT: Conectando el Campo project is noteworthy for using digital technologies to improve farming efficiency in Mexico, which raised farmer incomes and significantly reduced resource usage.

As agriculture faces challenges related to sustainability and workforce shortages, Nestlé and UNESCO seek to equip young people with essential skills for the food sector. Many young individuals struggle to find employment due to skill gaps, particularly in agriculture, where sustainability and food security demands continue to rise. Through Nestlé’s Youth Entrepreneurship Platform, grantees will receive tailored training and mentorship, aligning with the broader Nestlé Needs YOUth initiative. Over the past decade, Nestlé has helped ten million young people access economic opportunities. This initiative further strengthens that commitment, ensuring a skilled workforce for a more sustainable food supply.
