Melissa Rocha Appointed to Key Role at KPMG US National Office

Melissa Rocha has joined the U.S. national office of KPMG LLP, bringing over two decades of experience in financial regulation and reporting.  Rocha holds a degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. She spent 24 years at the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she most recently served as Acting Chief Accountant in the Division

of Corporation Finance’s Office of the Chief Accountant. In this role, Rocha was responsible for guiding financial reporting policy and providing direction to registrants, advisors, and investors. She also served as Deputy Chief Accountant, managing consultations on a wide range of financial topics such as digital assets, banking, and insurance.
