Vic Svec brings 35 years of achievement and experience in sustainability/ESG as well as investor relations and strategic communications with Fortune 500 global companies and leading consulting firms. He is passionate about leveraging sustainability to drive tangible value creation for companies of all sizes across all sectors. Most recently, Svec served as Managing Director of global consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal, where he led ESG Advisory Services. Svec also brings three decades of corporate experience with global category leaders Anheuser-Busch, Brunswick Corporation and Peabody Energy.
Svec has directed multiple transformational ESG initiatives, driving improvements in performance, governance, disclosures and ratings. Svec’s broad sustainability experience includes ESG strategy and implementation, decarbonization and climate risk, sustainable sourcing, sustainability revenue driver initiatives, stakeholder outreach, change management, marketing communications and community impact.
Among other achievements, Svec has chaired a global industry initiative developing inaugural responsible business principles as well as directing social responsibility activities that earned best-in-sector social responsibility honors by Fortune’s Most Admired Companies. He has earned more than 50 awards for sustainability, investor relations and communications, and is a frequent speaker, presenter and moderator at ESG/sustainability events.
